👻The Pi-Verse Podcast!🧟

🔇

On a single small bedroom desk a Raspberry Pi 5.

Sits collecting dust connected to a 21 inch monitor, with it's own keyboard and mouse on brand. The OS is Ubuntu, and for over a year was my main computer. It served me well and was very good. I was proving a point and it worked out. Once I had changed over to my x86 system, the rpi became redundant. Now I have installed rpi os on it and some apps and breathed new life into it with my portable 15.6 inch monitor. I have a 4 way usb 3 port attached and I velcro'd (not a verb) both to the back of the screen and connected it all up with short cables. I am really pleased with the outcome.

At the end of June 2025, I changed internet providers, and mid way through the new month I am stillw aiting to be connected. I have been using my phone as a hotspot. The combination of a slightly slowish pi and mobile internet gives a sluggish experience for working. Not unsable but slow.

If you are using a pi zero on the command line, use 'sudo apt install w3m'

you will see 'Ethel the ghost' if you're online
